What we collect, and why there is so little of it.
This site runs no analytics and sets no cookies. What follows is what we collect when you email us or use the contact form, why, and how to ask us about it.
Who we are
This site is operated by Shyk Systems. For anything on this page, write to privacy@shyksystems.com.
What we collect
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Nothing on it tracks you between visits or across other sites, and there is nothing here that needs a consent banner — which is why there is no cookie banner. What we do collect is narrower than most sites carry:
- Email correspondence sent to privacy@shyksystems.com: your address, the content of the message, and anything attached to it.
- Contact form data, once the form is connected to a working inbox. As it stands the form does not submit anywhere — it validates in your browser and then shows a static notice pointing you to email instead, so nothing you type in it currently leaves your device.
Lawful basis
We handle enquiry and correspondence data under our legitimate interest in answering questions about our services, and, once a conversation moves toward an engagement, under the basis of taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
How long we keep it
Correspondence from an enquiry that does not turn into an engagement is kept for up to 24 months and then deleted. Correspondence tied to a signed engagement is kept for the length of that relationship and for as long afterward as our own accounting and tax obligations require.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent personal data, and we share it with only the two categories of processor that keep this site and our inbox running:
- Our hosting provider, which serves these pages and, in the ordinary course of doing so, may log basic request data such as IP address and timestamp.
- Our email provider, which carries messages sent to privacy@shyksystems.com.
Neither is instructed to use your data for anything beyond providing that service to us.
Your rights
If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how we process it, and to receive a copy in a portable format. Write to privacy@shyksystems.com to exercise any of these. If you think we have handled your data incorrectly, you also have the right to complain to the data protection supervisory authority in your country of residence.
International transfers
Shyk Systems is an EU entity, and our hosting and email providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, we rely on the provider's standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard recognised under GDPR.
