These terms cover shyksystems.com. An actual engagement is governed by a separate, signed master service agreement and statement of work, not by this page.
Scope
These terms cover your use of this website, operated by Shyk Systems. They do not cover an engagement with us — that runs on a signed statement of work. This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics, so there is nothing here that needs a cookie banner.
What this site is and is not
This site describes our services, our engagement model, and past work in general terms. It is marketing material, not a specification, a quote, or a substitute for a written scope note and statement of work agreed for a specific piece of work.
No offer or contract formed by the site
Nothing on this site is an offer capable of acceptance. Submitting the contact form — which does not currently send anywhere — or emailing us does not create a contract, reserve engineers, or place us under any obligation. A contract exists only once a statement of work is signed by both sides.
Intellectual property
The text, layout, and design of this site belong to Shyk Systems unless stated otherwise. You may read it and link to it. You may not copy its content into another commercial site or present it as your own.
Case study accuracy and anonymity
The case studies on this site describe real engagements under a mutual non-disclosure agreement, which is why no client is named. Figures are quoted as they were measured at the time and are not a guarantee of what a future engagement will produce. We describe how each one ended, including the ones that did not go to plan: two of the four case studies on this site cover engagements that ended earlier than originally scoped, and neither is written up as a clean win.
Limitation of liability
This site is provided for information, as is. To the extent the law allows, Shyk Systems is not liable for loss arising from your use of this site or reliance on anything stated on it. This limitation does not extend to an engagement under a signed statement of work, which carries its own terms.
Changes
We may update this page as the site or our practices change. The version in force is the one published here; we do not keep a separate version history.
